Solbacka sits on Lilla Ornäs 1:8 in Borlänge municipality, on the road between Borlänge and Falun. The family has owned the land for generations. The vision is an agrihood — a residential area where homes are clustered around shared green spaces, allotment gardens and natural features, rather than lined up along cul-de-sacs.
The planning notice from Borlänge municipality (2026) opens up 32 plots. The layout has been drawn from the topography, watercourses and sightlines — not from a standard template. Smaller plots gathered in clusters, with forest and pasture between them.
The project sits within the municipality's long-term expansion area. We're preparing drawings and dialogue in parallel, working toward the revision of the comprehensive plan around 2031. Survey carried out by Precision Mätteknik in 2026.
